PASTURE GRASSES – Tetraploid Annual Ryegrass
25-35 lb/acre or 1-3 lb/1000 sq ft.
Can be planted in the spring or fall.
Cool season annual grass. Fast germinating, which makes is excellent for erosion control. Does well in most soils, including water-logged areas. Used for turfgrass, fodder, and erosion control. Grows best in fertile soil and needs irrigation in the summer. The most fruitful and nourishing grazing occurs when the plant is 6 to 8 inches tall. When plants have been grazed to a depth of three inches, livestock should be removed. Good reseeding plant. Thrives in areas with mild winters.
