Good for biofumigation a process of employing mustard cover crops to control soil-borne diseases. Biofumigation is basically the use of naturally existing substances to control numerous soil-borne pests and diseases.

To enhance their inherent fumigant capacity, brassica cover crops are frequently mowed and integrated. This is because only when individual plant cells are ruptured do fumigant chemicals become active.
